The Sr. Director Supply Chain Technology defines the strategy for US Foods end-to-end supply chain data and technology roadmap. This leadership role is focused on establishing data and technology solutions that provide best-in-class visibility to inventory movement, supply chain milestones, real-time capacity and availability, network and warehouse operations, transportation efficiency, vendor performance and data warehousing, etc. The strategy outlined ensures best-in-class customer experience, network performance and efficiency, profitability and provides a scalable foundation for future growth.

** Preference for this candidate to reside in Rosemont, IL or Minneapolis, Minnesota*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure a responsive and cost-effective supply chain through driving visibility to supply chain milestones and events and ensuring that upstream and downstream systems are working in sync with prioritized supply chain deliverables. Establish and gain alignment for a supply chain data and technology strategy that supports US Foods long-term vision by introducing new capabilities and enhancing existing capabilities. Ensure that supply chain systems are optimized for replenishment data flows, milestone capture, AP/AR functionality and supply chain efficiency.
o Work upstream and downstream from supply chain operations to ensure supply chain data connectivity end-to-end.
o Define the roadmap and timeline for capability development based on best in class industry practices, US Foods strategy and business opportunity.
o Establish data and technology strategy in alignment with US Foods functional areas including Supply Chain teams (Replenishment, Operations, Operations, Logistics, Transportation), Commercial, IT, etc. resulting in adoption of the strategy by the Executive Leadership Team.
o Prioritize areas of focus, research and recommend suppliers, and develop business cases to secure funding for pilot and implementation of the end-to-end data flow strategy.
o Develop the deployment roadmap based on capability prioritization, business opportunity and resource and capital management in conjunction with Supply Chain leadership and Enterprise PMO.
o Define the organizational structure and roles required to maximize the use of supply chain data and technology and recommend path forward for organizational design.
• Drive ongoing data and technology excellence
• Design and oversee program success metrics;
• Engage consistently with other US Foods functional areas to ensure that strategy continues to meet their needs; and
• Incorporate market and industry research, best practices benchmarking and performance-improvement plans and tactics.
• Lead the implementation of The US Foods Way for Supply Chain Data and Technology through a focus on training, organizational design and associate development
• Define goals for deployment and adoption and oversee creation of change management strategy to ensure rapid adoption;
• Partner with Organizational Effectiveness to develop the functional training plan in conjunction with the change management strategy;
• Partner with the US Foods functional areas to diagnose deployment and adoption issues, and develop mitigation strategy;
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the technology deployment playbook; and
• Contribute to policies, processes and performance metrics designed to track the implementation and impact of supply chain technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training:
• Bachelor's degree in technology, operations management, supply chain management, business, or in another relevant field. Advanced degree preferred.
Related Experience/Requirements:
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant Technology, Supply Chain, Operations and/or Logistics experience; Demonstrates subject matter expertise and field credibility in supply chain functions
• 5+ years of management experience (including people and/or functions)
• Supply chain technology expertise and functional credibility in the field
• Versed in current technology and deployment leading practices and related performance metrics
• Strong communication skills and experience influencing peers and senior leaders
• Competency identifying/establishing, implementing and sharing operational best practices
• Experience leading projects that required coordination across team boundaries in large, multi-function, cross-geographic, matrixed organizations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Industry knowledge: In-depth knowledge of supply chain operations technology, and of related federal, state and local regulations - preferably in the foodservice or transportation industry
